My last sermon note to “grade” (really – just sharing words of clarification or encouragement to the confirmation kids)
I really had a wonderful time teaching confirmation this year. It was a great bunch of 8th graders (all 18 of them), we had lots of fun – learned lots about the Old Testament and the bible in general.
One evening in particular stands out, when I recalling one of the confirmation small groups urgently, (and loudly), begging to contribute a skit to next week’s confirmation lesson. You can bet I said yes.
That around a smile and no small amount of joy to my Thursday morning cup of coffee.
I only wish that I had remembered to teach them the song I wrote as a promo piece for the confirmation program at First Lutheran in Brainerd.
You can learn about that in another post of mine found HERE.
If I’m ever blessed to teach confirmation again, you can bet we’ll be beginning at least the first 3 or 4 class sessions by learning that song.
