A number of years ago – at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter, MN – my former congregation we wrote a confirmation promo song and recorded a video. Lots of fun was had in the creation, and it was a great way to kick-start our fall confirmation program.
This year – in the middle of the summer – I decided to write another song intended to be used for the fall of the 2014-2015 year. And I got it mostly put together during the last week in July.
In the early part of August, it slowly became apparent to me that my time at Lord of Life was coming to an end and so I put the project on the shelf.
After my time of being a pastor at Lord of Life concluded at the end of October, I went into the recording studio… but I changed the name of the church the new congregation that my wife and I now belong to: First Lutheran Church in Brainerd, Minnesota.
If any congregation would like to use this song – it could easily be customized. For example – if someone other than the pastor teaches…. modifications might be able to be made.
