An Ordination Blast from the Past

Lately I’ve had some time on my hands – so I’ve been going through and scanning old pictures. Here’s a blast from a 30-year+ past….my ordination…and a few shots from my first few months at Zion … plus the first Synod assembly pontoon ride at Craguns. :: As I look at my ordination picture – I take note now that it’s a very white-male group around me, much to my chagrin. Also – while it was very meaningful to have my dad preside. As our church wrestled with Called to Common Mission in the early part of my ministry…I began to see that it would have been a good thing to have a representative of the larger church there. Heck of a 30 year ride. Many wonderfully rich and fond memories – a few less so. Thanks to all on Facebook who have accompanied me at some point in this journey. Blessings!
