Vacation Bible School is one of my favorite “seasons” in the church programming year. The church is a vibrant place to be – in the middle of a normally quiet and calm summer season. I am so blessed whenever I get to hang out with fun and energetic kids.
It reminds me of the 8 summers I spent at three different Bible Camps (Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp in Story City, Iowa; EWALU Bible Camp in Strawberry Point, Iowa; and Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp in Colorado.
It is so important to meet kids where they are at – and plant in them a love for Jesus and the community that bears his name.
American Lutheran Church has a FANTASTIC Program. SO MUCH FUN !! And they even let me lead music this year – which was a welcome change for me. I loved it!
