Some time ago(?) – I happened upon a church that had created multiple sermon note styles to choose from. (From the list of worship times listed, I’m guessing it was Mount Olivet in the cities – but I can’t remember).
I recall being impressed by this approach, knowing a tiny, little, bit about the variation in which children learn and would approach an exercise like sermon notes. It seems to me to be a good thing to provide this sort of variation.
For those of you past confirmation, do you remember taking sermon notes? What are your memories of that experience? I don’t recall feeling very happy that I had to do it.
