Web Designing (Could it be my side-hustle?)

In the lead-up to Christmas 2025, the Pequaywan Lakes Association website got hacked and shut down. For over a year previously I served as the webmaster. That just meant I corrected inaccurate things and posted items from time to time. I kept the site in basically the same condition that I got it — figuring that if it ain’t broke, don’t try to fix it.

That all changed when it broke.

When the shutdown occurred — and with some extra time on my hands — I dove into a complete refresh and am quite proud of the results. (Admittedly there was also in procrastination of household projects involved, too.)

Please do.

Anyway, I did find that it fulfilled a need of mine–during this in-between time, when not writing sermons–to always be creating something. It also warmed my heart to be able to use my now ancient college degree. Way, way, way back in the 1980s, I graduated with a degree in Computer Science, but other than informal consulting on church systems, and troubleshooting with friends and family, I can’t really say that I’ve ever used that degree.

I’m at the stage in my life where I need to think about diversification, and this could help bring some variety to life. Variety is a welcome spice, for sure.

Anyway – if you know of a website that could use a refresh .. hit me up.

At least until I’m in my next call….then I would guess I’ll be focused on that.

God Bless you where ever you are !!!

P.S. That chip is a dinosaur. Long ago, I had a class in programming it in assembly language. Lots of water under the bridge, er CPU cycling since then.
